Paperpila (PAY-per-PEA-luh) is what happens when you combine a full time freelance graphic designer's need for a creative escape, a love for paper, and an attention to detail.
I'm a designer first so all designs start out as digital works, that I create as vectors in Adobe Illustrator to scale and ready to assemble.
Papers are carefully curated for each piece. As important to the overall design as the layer themselves. I only use premium cardstock that is thick and solid — while mixing the textures for more visual interest.
All designs are 100% original and built specifically to become Paperpilas, build your own and put your own spin on it to really call it yours!
There are no teeny tiny pieces to worry about. All the designs have been built to perfectly stack on top of each other without having the worry about placing little things in their exact spot — the layers do that for you!
Stack all same shapes on top of each other and align until all colors are shown according to cover image.
Stick layers together until all pieces are matched up using provided glue dots and risers.
Paper is meant to be drawn on. Make it your own with doodles, paint... anything you can imagine!
Paperpila was created by Wax On Paper owner, Brittany Gardner (me!), as a fun excuse to make designs tangible. I come from a world of web design, brands, illustration, and content formatting, so attention to detail is a top priority.
I've been creating layered paper art for years but nothing was compelling enough to move forward with... until Paperpila, that is. Creating this has been a puzzle I've loved solving.
Visit wax on paperPaperpila is a great craft night activity, gift for your creative friend, or unique handmade gift to give to a loved one.
